Taylands is owned and operated by Brian Taylor, an independent consultant with over 20 years of experience in managing and controlling Japanese knotweed and other invasive and problematic plants. Brian is an experienced consultant with both qualifications and experience of surveying, producing Knotweed Management Plans (KMPs), managing large, complicated excavations on construction sites and accurately identifying many types of invasive plant species in different growing situations.

He is also a trainer and examiner for the Property Care Association (PCA). He has worked with the PCA from the original creation of the invasive weeds group, including the production of technical documents, and additionally to develop appropriate training and examination of both the Japanese knotweed Technician and Surveyor (CSJK) examinations. Brian has also presented at conferences and has led online training on the subject of waste compliance for construction and development sites. He also teaches the Invasive Trees, Shrubs and Climbers course for the PCA.
